Composition: A block of blue resin with a silver spoon incorporated. A
transparent glass globe is placed on the silver spoon. The blue represents
the water and the globe represents the hunger.
The artist Virginie Sommet has been chosen to create the Action Against
Hunger‚s Humanitarian Award 2005 presented by Terry George (Producer and
Screenwriter of Hotel Rwanda) to Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
It was on November 11 at Metropolitan Club in Manhattan with the performance
of the songwriter and performer Angelique Kidjo.
