The colors assigned to food are meaningful: -White represents purity and unity. -Blue invites calmness, is good for the eyes, and heals the lungs. -Green balances the nervous system, represents nature and hope. -Yellow evokes honey, represents the sun, abundance and strength of spirit. -Red represents animal flesh, accelerates the breath, raises muscular tension and stimulates the mind. -Orange, the favorite color of Epicureans, evokes the setting sun, triggers the appetite and helps digestion.
